Today we got the post from Hampton Hill School from Hamilton.It contained the poems that the other class had wrote. Some were about puzzle pieces some about keys and some about teddy bears. It was good fun opening it and we learnt a lot about the other class .

Orange day

Last Friday it was light it orange day we had to dress up orange we also brought in a  gold  coin. At lunch time the Moosies ran out so i couldn't get  a Moosie. On Friday some kids watched a movie in Room 8, we watched Charlie with a Chance of Meatballs. Light it Orange day was so fun I hope can make it next year.

Librarian

Hi my names Celia and I'm librarian. So far I like my job it helps me to read a lot better and it helps me work with kids younger and older than me. It also means i get to work with people from other classes. Which I like. my librarian buddy is Ella. I hope i can keep going at my job next year as well.

The burning of the ashes

Today we went outside onto the turf to watch the burning of the ashes. Before we burned the ashes we said the sign of the cross, after that we burned the ashes. When they were burning it looked like a wild fire.  During that time father Bernard said a prayer. After the burning of the ashes we said Our Father and sang a song. When that was over we came inside and made pancakes. They were so good!

My name is Celia and I'm 9 years old.I adore animals and my favorite animal is a cat there  just so cute ! My hobbies are reading and baking. I love spending time with my cats and cousins.

Swimming sports

Yesterday we had the Connolly swimming sports.The swimming sports was at west wave. I entered the freestyle and backstroke races . At swimming sports I went into competitive I came fourth in backstroke.  I took 35 seconds . It was really fun. Swimming sports really helped me to swim better so I can't wait to go next year.
